As part of a visit to Derbyshire to support the work of libraries and National Year of Reading 2026, Patrick will be giving a talk in Chesterfield Library at 7 pm. He will be talking about his new novel, Love Lane, which takes up the story where his earlier bestseller, A Place Called Winter, left off, and about the strange process of turning his relatives and their stories into a work of fiction. An ideal event to bring your book club to or, equally, any elderly friends or relatives who might remember the 1950s.
