The Coast is Queer on September 15, 2019
Patrick is among the writers booked for New Writing South’s new weekend festival in Brighton celebrating LGBTQ writing and queer history. On the final day of the festival he’ll be interviewed by David Sheppeard, who is the co-Artistic Director of the Marlborough Theatre and runs Brighton’s LGBTQ+ History Club. As well as talking about Patrick’s historical novel A Place Called Winter and TV drama Man in an Orange Shirt, they’ll talk about his current work excavating the deeply closeted early life of the great Cornish poet, Charles Causley. And, well, being quite old!
Patrick’s talk will be at The Spire (St Mark’s Chapel), Eastern Road, Brighton, BN2 5JN at 3pm. You can book your tickets by clicking here.
